Naoussa Paros Island
Naoussa: Nestled in a bay on the north coast, is the picturesque fishing port of Paros. It boasts a busy tourist trade and offers a lively nightlife. In spite of the modern day comfort, which Naoussa offers to visitors, it still remains a traditional fishing village with the largest fishing fleet in the Cyclades. Old fisherman's storehouses have been converted into bars, cafes and ouzeries serving starters fished straight from the sea. Archaeological excavations have brought to light traces of civilization in the area from the 3rd millenium b.c. A few kilometres east of Naoussa is Ambelas, a tiny fishing village.
Beaches: Monastiri-Kolibithres (inside the Naoussa bay, reached by little boats or by road), Piperi (reached by road-walking distance), Langeri (reached by bus, little boats or private transport), Santa Maria (reached by bus, little boats or private transport)
Sights: The Mycenaean settlement of Koukounaries, the Venetian Castle, the Byzantine Museum, the Folk-Art Museum, The Longovarda Monastery.
